Welcome!

Welcome!

This blog was originally dedicated to my journey from a writer to a traditionally published author. Since that time, my interests have changed and I self-published my debut novel, Heavenly Matchmaking: Meant To Be, as an e-book. Now this blog will serve as an outlet for my thoughts on my writing and self-publishing journeys, as I endeavor to have a life, work my day job, promote my novels, and write my next. (Though I expect my postings on My Journey Blog will diverge some from the topics of writing and publishing.)

Published Novels

On the verge of a promotion, two battling middle managers discover they must work together to obtain an injection of cash to keep the company afloat; but when they set aside their differences, they learn that peace may be sweeter than war after all and the promotion they both desired might not compare to a possible future together. – Truce or Consequences

Jillian Braden has been competing with George Crewes, and denying an instant attraction to him, since the first day she started as a manager in the software division at Gardiner D. Associates. Just when it seems their race to the top will have a winner, the company is suddenly floundering for funds. A private investor may be the answer to everyone’s potential employment woes, but he wants demonstrations of what the company can do. Can Jillian’s group save the company alone or should she swallow her pride and join forces with George to try to save them all?

Having focused on the promotion since before Jillian’s arrival, George set aside any possible personal interest in her when it became clear that she was the competition. But when the promotion and even his current job are in jeopardy, he’s forced to see her in a different light, efficient, effective, and perhaps a partner to success. Already convinced that Jillian’s group will likely overshadow, or worse, completely embarrass his group in the upcoming demonstrations to keep the company afloat, George is flabbergasted when Jillian makes him an offer to team up.

When Jillian and George choose to set aside their differences and unexpectedly discover the promotion they both desired might not compare to a possible future together, they find themselves in the middle of an office romance with plenty of gossip, resurfacing exes, interfering parents, and lecherous investors. Can a fragile new love triumph over life-long goals, money, family pressure, and even friendly pressure to win the day and take them to happily ever after?

Heavenly Matchmaking: Meant To Be

With a little Heavenly intervention, a relationship wary Art Consultant on a weekend trip to attend an art auction meets a lonely Art History Professor, who is also secretly an FBI. Art Fraud Consultant, and agrees to a dinner date; but after she takes a chance on him and finds herself heart-broken, held at gun point by her employers, and even taken into FBI custody, she must decide if she can trust a man she’s just met in order to find true love. – Heavenly Matchmaking: Meant To Be

Juliette stomped down the street on her way to work one morning, didn't see the oncoming bus, and found herself in Limbo. Since then, with all the time in the world on her hands, she accepted a job with the Heavenly Matchmaking's Meant To Be division where using knowledge that earth-bound mortals would never have, she helps couples find true love at just the right time. It’s not as easy as it sounds, rules abound, there’s that pesky unrequited love she left behind that she just can’t forget, her new boss she can’t ever seem to please, and the worry about an eventual hearing to determine whether she moves on or goes back to Earth to try all over again. Who knew that death could be so much work?

Chase Danvers wasn’t in Seattle at an exclusive art auction as a buyer for his University, he was there as a consultant to the FBI. His first time solo, Chase is at loose ends and attends a gallery opening where he meets art consultant, Kate Littlefield. Chase is certain Kate’s the one until he uncovers fraud at the auction and her connection to the perpetrators.

Kate Littlefield assumed that attending an art auction with her clients would be just another job before she found herself talking to a very charming art history professor, Chase Danvers. She takes a chance on him but finds herself heart-broken, held at gun point by her employers, and even taken into FBI custody.

It’s up to novice Juliette to help Chase and Kate untangle the mess before it’s too late so they really will find themselves Meant To Be.
